Job Title: Anesthesia Technician II

Job Description: The Anesthesia Technician II assists anesthesia providers in delivering patient care to pediatric surgical patients. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and work areas in all anesthetizing locations, setting up, operating, and maintaining monitoring and anesthesia equipment, and maintaining supplies and equipment. The Technician supports the perioperative team under supervision, assisting with patient transport and environmental services as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Completion of an approved anesthesia technician curriculum or CNH Anesthesia Technician curriculum (Preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of anesthesia technician experience (Required)
  • Preferred experience in Pediatrics, Trauma, and Cardiac cases

Skills and Certifications:

  • Excellent communication and human relation skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand primary workplace language
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
  • ASATT certification (Preferred)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of anesthesia environment and supplies
  • Prepare operating rooms and off-site locations, ensuring equipment functionality
  • Assist anesthesiologists with procedures and equipment setup
  • Ensure proper sterilization, cleaning, and maintenance of anesthesia equipment
  • Monitor and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and related equipment
  • Support safety protocols and risk management measures
