About the Role
Join our team to gain exposure to various business processes and opportunities for professional growth in the insurance industry. As an Automation Analyst, you will ensure the quality and reliability of software for internal and external users. Your responsibilities include providing quality assurance, collaborating with business analysts and developers, defining testing requirements, leading testing initiatives, and maintaining automated testing frameworks. You will also manage defects and work across departments to analyze, develop, and execute testing for new and enhanced corporate systems.
Education and Experience
Preference given to applicants with prior experience using automated testing software.
Preference given to applicants with extended education and/or training.
Required Skills and Abilities
Possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-functional role .
Must be able to work independently, as well as collaborate with others in various departments throughout the company.
Ability to organize and prioritize your workload to demonstrate effective time management towards meeting deadlines.
Capacity to absorb extensive on-the-job training.
Familiarity with NCFB systems and workflows is an advantage, but not required.
Location and Commitments
Full-time role based at our Corporate Office in Raleigh, NC 27612
40 hours per week
Responsibilities of the Role
Participate in requirements gathering, providing feedback on testability and feasibility of automation.
Proficiently review and comprehend requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive and well-structured test strategies, plans, cases, and automation scripts.
Design, develop, test, and execute manual and automated testing frameworks and scripts on new and existent software.
Learn Azure DevOps to manage, test and track projects.
Communicate with team members or developers as necessary to determine causes of poor functionality.
Perform system, functionality, and regression testing.
Report project status to Lead Tester or Project Manager.
Basic understanding of or willingness to learn SQL databases.
Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements in software testing, test automation, and the software development lifecycle.
