Title: Building Engineer

Location: Carrollton, TX 75007

Duration: Permanent/Direct Hire

Salary: $75,000-$90,000

Must Haves:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management or equivalent military, trade school or hands-on experience.
  • 3+ years in data center or mission-critical mechanical systems.
  • Expertise in CDU operations and diagnostics.
  • Strong troubleshooting knowledge
  • Familiarity with BAS, monitoring tools, and energy efficiency practices.

Day to day:

Insight Global is looking for a seasoned mechanical systems expert to lead operations in our data centers. This role ensures the reliable and efficient performance of critical infrastructure including CDUs, chillers, pumps, VFDs, cooling towers, RTUs, AHUs, and fan walls.

  • Oversee and optimize mechanical systems, especially CDU performance and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards (ASHRAE, OSHA).
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical failures.
  • Maintain detailed records and provide technical guidance to site teams.
  • Partner with onsite vendors to perform preventive maintenance and resolve mechanical issues. xhqgsiq
  • Will be hands on and won't be interfacing with customers.
