Computed Tomography Technologist Job Description

This role entails providing computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, aligning with the organization's policies, values, and mission.

The key responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying prescriptions, providers, and schedules as required, communicating with departments to facilitate efficient care coordination, creating electronic files for release of information to authorized individuals, conveying findings of imaging exams to various caregivers, assisting staff with patient lift assists and repositioning when necessary, transporting patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed, or neuro chair to designated locations upon request, performing post-procedural duties including room clean up and restocking supplies, overseeing inventory control, managing electronic imaging exams for timely interpretation, facilitating interpretation workflow for interpreting physicians, conducting audits for un-interpreted electronic exams or incorrectly stored electronic files, managing workflow in clinical imaging areas, and coordinating patient flow to departments, prioritizing tasks, and distributing work to technical staff under leadership guidance.
