Position Title: Edge Services Desktop Engineer

Location: Springfield, MO (occasional travel to Coffeyville, KS)
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Visa Sponsorship: Not available
Drug Test Requirement: Required due to operation of John Deere equipment (e.g., Gator/Golf Cart)
Metatarsals: Required on Day 1
Dress Code: Business casual
Major Purpose:
Provide daily operational support for a stable computing environment, including desktops, peripherals, and conference room technology. This role combines basic technical knowledge with administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver onsite Tier 2 deskside support.
Perform and monitor routine IT processes and tasks, including imaging computers, replacing printer toner and basic printer maintenance, disposing of outdated hardware, and resolving ServiceNow trouble tickets.
Maintain and update IT asset records (e.g., Asset Center), follow knowledge base (KB) articles, and adhere to unit-specific procedures.
Create and manage documentation such as contact lists, process logs, incident reports, inventory and maintenance records, shipping orders, and facilities requests.
Identify and resolve known issues using documented solutions; escalate issues outside standard procedures.
Support equipment and supply management by scheduling routine maintenance, ordering and tracking inventory, and coordinating with suppliers.
Apply basic technical knowledge to support operations, including troubleshooting using KB articles and replacing printer components like pickup rollers.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of computing and networking fundamentals
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet/intranet tools
Familiarity with computer security policies and concepts
1+ year of IT experience preferred (recent graduates considered)
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred #INDEPI
