CRNA Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Job Summary

Provides anesthesia care in the operating room in support of surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the general supervision of an anesthesiologist. Provides preoperative evaluation and postoperative follow-up. Functions as a patient advocate and confidant, advisor and liaison between patients, families, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative evaluation and postoperative follow-up of patients.
• Patient advocacy and liaison duties.
• Coverage of nearly all operating room case types, except heart/lung transplants and burns.
• Support of 13 non‑OR anesthesia sites, including GI/Pulm, Cath/EP Lab, IR, OB, and MRI.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary specialists and subspecialists.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (Required).
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license.
• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
