We have an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer for our New York City location. Come join our team! Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, municipal and healthcare facilities.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, field surveys to support design and construction phases.
- Preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams and load calculations.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other team members.
- Review of submittals and RFIs during construction administration
- Serve as Project Engineer and Project Manager on smaller, less complex projects
- Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD)
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-7 years of relevant electrical design experience.
- Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
- EIT certification; PE license preferred or in progress.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work independently with general instructions / guidance from senior engineers to produce the expected results
- Experience with sustainable design and LEED-certified projects.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask to meet specific project deadlines.
