Annual Base Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 + full benefits package
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.

Position Summary:

In nuclear power, "Test/EQ" refers to Equipment Qualification, a critical process ensuring that safety-related equipment can reliably perform its intended functions under normal operating conditions and during design basis accidents. This process involves testing and analysis to demonstrate that components and systems can withstand the harsh environments and stresses experienced in a nuclear power plant throughout their qualified operating life.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee key aspects of the EQ Program in accordance with 10 CFR 50.49, RG 1.89, and ASME QME-1 requirements, ensuring compliance, documentation accuracy, and successful qualification of equipment to support plant design while maintaining accountability for results and compliance.
  • Apply engineering principles, techniques, and practices in the preparation and/or review of EQ Program work products such as EQ specifications, EQ test plans, EQ test procedures, EQ record files, engineering reports, and analyses.
  • Produce comprehensive justifications and in-depth analyses with a talent for delivering detailed, nuanced explanations that ensure thorough documentation and clarity.
  • Develop department R&D needs and contribute to methodology development.
  • Act as a primary interface with regulatory agencies concerning the EQ Program, including supporting audits, Requests for Additional Information (RAI), and meetings.
  • Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of EQ Program work. Support the preparation of work scope and schedules for assignments.
  • Provide EQ mentoring and technical direction.
  • Provide oversight and direction to EQ Program vendors.
  • Coordinate EQ Program interfaces with other disciplines and partners.
  • Apply experience in the oversight and review of EQ Program testing and qualification activities.
  • Frequently provides high-level communication both within and without the department using various media, software, and application tools.
  • Continued learning and comprehension of new job functions and/or concepts to seamlessly facilitate adaption to project demands.
