What You'll Do:

• Lead International Sourcing:
  Define and execute a vision for a world-class global supply system, working closely with senior leadership.
• Source Critical Components:
  Your work will directly feed our production lines by strategically sourcing critical custom components and raw materials.
• Negotiate & Manage:
  Expertly negotiate and manage international contracts, ensuring compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness with suppliers in key global markets.
• Vetting & Auditing:
  Be proficient in all aspects of supplier vetting, including auditing, inspecting, and on-site assessments.
• New Product Development (NPD):
  Work on the engineering and quality assurance aspects of sourcing, particularly the ability to source parts with incredibly tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

What We're Looking For:

• Recent International Sourcing Experience:
  You've actively sourced suppliers from
  India, Mexico, Europe, and/or Asia
  within the last 2-3 years.
• Industry & Commodity Expertise:
  A background in custom manufacturing or industrial sectors (not food & beverage, IT, consumer electronics, or apparel). Experience with materials like ductile iron, steel castings, greensand, and shellcore casting is a must.
• Custom Sourcing:
  Proven experience sourcing custom or engineered products internationally.
• Strong Negotiation Skills:
  A verifiable track record of achieving cost savings and favorable terms in global sourcing initiatives.
• Leadership & Project Management:
  Experience leading teams and/or managing large-scale international projects is a strong plus.

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. In addition, Spherion offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, and an incentive and recognition program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
