A professional opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. This position supports diverse classroom settings, including Self-Contained, Resource, and Special Day Classrooms, offering a comprehensive teaching experience across multiple grade levels. The role will be based in Longview, WA, with a contract duration from January 2026 through June 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities in grades K-12.
  • Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) tailored to students needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote inclusive learning environments.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state educational regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active State Teaching License in Special Education.
  • Experience working with K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 grade levels.
  • Ability to manage self-contained classrooms as well as resource and special day classrooms.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and instructional best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Contract term: January 2026 to June 2026.
  • Working hours: 30 to 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week.
  • Competitive pay starting at $37 per hour.
