This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to support students in a special education setting across grades K-12. The role involves working within self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, and special day classrooms, providing tailored instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Scheduled from January 2026 through June 2026, the position requires a commitment of 30 to 37.5 hours per week across five days.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active State Teaching License
  • Experience working with special education students in any of the following grade ranges: K-5, 6-8, or 9-12
  • Ability to manage self-contained classrooms and support resource or special day settings
  • Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Location: Ridgefield, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction to students with special needs in compliance with IEPs
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with related service providers, families, and school staff to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and behavior
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet varied learning styles and abilities
