Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist
At a renowned healthcare facility, patient safety and quality are paramount. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist, you will conduct advanced imaging procedures according to industry standards.
- Position patients and perform magnetic resonance imaging techniques.
- Analyze acquisition parameters and identify issues with image quality.
You will collaborate closely with interpreting physicians and adhere to established protocols to resolve image quality issues. Your role involves preparing equipment, selecting optimal imaging parameters, and implementing safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct imaging procedures in accordance with hospital policy and safety guidelines.
- Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams.
- Monitor patient condition and report/respond to changes in status as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Requirements:
- Accredited program in Medical Imaging (Required)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (Required)
- BLS American Heart Association (BLS AHA) or equivalent certification (Required)
Working Conditions:
- Bending and Stooping = 40%

- Lifting/Carrying Patients 35 Pounds or Greater = 60%
- Pushing or Pulling 0 - 25 lbs Non-Patient = 60%
- Seeing - Far = 80%

Additional Information:
- No prior experience is necessary
- Registration in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registration as a technologist (ARMRIT) within one calendar year of hire is mandatory
