An Information Technician Administrator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of company intranets and computer systems. Their duties include installing antivirus or malware protection software, responding to employee concerns or drafting documents to help employees use computer systems and coordinating with company leadership to determine new technologies that could enhance their company’s computer systems.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Coordinate with network engineering, business applications, and database administration functions to implement desktop and server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet company objectives.
* Deploy workstations, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, encryption systems, and all host security systems.
* Manage all operating systems and end-user software.
* Manage communications (e-mail, IM, etc.) and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity, local area networks, company website, intranet, and Internet applications.
* Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
* Maintain input/output fleet, including printers and scanners.
* Maintain end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
* Perform network and security audits.
* Perform and test routine system backups and restores.
* Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.
* Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
* Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance.
* Create required reports in response to business user needs.
* Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
*Qualifications & Requirements:*
* Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Windows 10/11, Windows Server (all supported versions), IOS, and network switching/routing.
* Hands-on experience with current systems software, protocols, and standards, including firewalls, Active Directory, Exchange Online (M365), SharePoint, and Microsoft Dynamics.
* Strong knowledge of local area network (LAN) administration and Wi-Fi technologies.
* Experience with enterprise backup solutions, storage systems, and disaster recovery planning.
* Understanding of telecommunications, VoIP, and data center operations.
* Understanding of ITIL principles and processes for service management.
* Good working knowledge of an ITSM tool (ServiceNow is a plus).
* Ability to align IT priorities with the company’s goals, including supporting field technicians and project management teams.
* Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment (e.g., critical system outages).
* Ability to conduct research into hardware/software issues and present solutions in user-friendly language.
* Highly self-motivated, with keen attention to detail.
* Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
*Education & Certifications:*
* High School Diploma or equivalent (required) with excellent technical knowledge
* Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (plus, but not required)

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour

Experience:
* ITIL: 1 year (Required)
* IT Service Management: 1 year (Preferred)
