Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based social worker position is available from March 26, 2026, through June 12, 2026, serving elementary students in grades K-5 in Minneapolis, MN. This contract role supports the social and emotional development of young learners within the school setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement intervention plans.
  • Conduct assessments and develop support plans that promote student well-being and academic success.
  • Connect families with community resources and support services.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with confidentiality guidelines and school policies.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.
  • Tier 3 or Tier 4 social work license valid in Minnesota.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Ability to develop and implement positive behavioral interventions and supports.

Location:

  • Minneapolis, Minnesota direct service with students in an elementary school environment.
