POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

Sid Jacobson JCC is seeking a reliable and responsible Early Morning Lifeguard to join our aquatics team. Preferrable living in Nassau County NY. Start 6 am. This role is perfect for early risers who are passionate about safety, fitness, and creating a welcoming environment for our members. 

Responsibilities: 

·   Monitor pool area during early morning swim hours 

·   Ensure the safety of all patrons by enforcing pool rules and regulations 

·   Respond quickly and effectively to all water-related emergencies 

·   Perform daily pool checks and maintain cleanliness and safety of the pool area 

·   Provide excellent customer service and support to JCC members and guests

Requirements: 

·   Valid Nassau County Lifeguard Certification 

·   Current CPR/AED certification 

·   Ability to remain alert and attentive for early morning shifts 

·   Professional, punctual, and dependable 

·   Previous lifeguarding experience preferred but not required 

Must be Nassau County certified or willing to get it.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        American Red Cross CPR/AED for the professional rescuer

·        Nassau County Lifeguard Certification (IA or IB)

·        Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience preferred

·        Water Safety Instructor Certification preferred

Compensation details: 21-21 Hourly Wage
