Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical expertise, experience with Power Stroke, Duramax and Cummins trucks, and a commitment to quality vehicle maintenance and repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks as well as giving customers quality work in a timely fashion.
Duties

* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines (Cummins, Duramax, Power Stroke)
* Perform preventive maintenance: oil changes, filters, fluids, belts, hoses.
* Inspect and repair breaks systems (air and hydraulic)
* Service steering and suspension systems
* Repair cooling systems (radiators, water pumps, thermostats)
* Diagnose and repair fuel systems ( injectors, pump, DEF systems)
* Troubleshoot Electrical systems ( starters, alternators, batteries, wiring)
* Use diagnostic tools/software to read fault codes and perform system test
* Service Transmissions
* Identify safety Issues and recommend necessary repairs
* Accurately document repairs, parts used, and labor time
* Communicate findings and repair recommendations to service advisors
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Work independently and as part of a shop
* Stay current on diesel technology
* Ability to manage time and prioritize repairs

Experience

* 2-5+ years working on medium-duty trucks
* Experience servicing diesel engines ( Cummins, Duramax, Power Stroke)
* Strong background in preventive maintenance
* Proficiency in reading schematics
* Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic software.
* Technical school or diesel mechanic training preferred.
