The opportunity

EY's Analytics and Data team is seeking a Master Data Management Manager focusing on helping our clients define and drive data management strategy and technology implementation. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strategic vision and ability to define an enterprise data strategy with clients— complemented by a solid track record of system delivery and readiness for advanced technologies.

In this role, you will design and apply comprehensive methods, practices, policies, tools, and processes to govern and control the entire lifecycle of data assets. You will perform maturity assessments on data management capabilities and advise on tools and roadmaps to implement them. Additionally, you will articulate information strategies that align with business objectives.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop solutions to complex problems, recommending changes to policies and establishing procedures that affect immediate work areas.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Manage project status and deliverable completion while ensuring effective risk management.
  • Guide clients in defining a data governance strategy including data quality, data catalog, master data management, analytics use cases, AI/ML readiness, and systems alignment to leading ERP and CRM applications.
  • Implement cutting-edge data quality tools and processes to maintain impeccable data standards throughout the infrastructure.
  • Engage in meticulous requirement gathering, interpret Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), and collaborate with system analysts to develop comprehensive source-to-target mappings.
  • Involved in strategic design, implementation, and optimization of data management solutions using Informatica and related tools, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving data governance and integration across the enterprise.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of data within source databases prior to migration into data warehouses and generate detailed technical specifications in alignment with BRDs.
  • Lead multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and client satisfaction.
  • Activities include architecting, pipeline building, RFP responses, creating new solutions and offerings, conducting workshops, and managing in-flight projects.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Minimum 8 years of direct involvement with MDM tools.
  • Experience leading delivery teams in data governance, data management, and related system implementations.
  • Knowledge of future trends/changes in the industry and the ability to articulate these to customers.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies AWS and Azure.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to research and provide insights on industry standards, regulations, technology assessments, and forecasts.
  • Expertise in Data Privacy and Master Data Management.
  • Understanding of Data Governance and Enterprise Strategy.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage change effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Advanced Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Typically, no less than 6 years relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Data Governance principles.
  • Experience with Enterprise IT Architecture.
  • Proficiency in Metadata Management and Ontology Design.
  • Knowledge of IT Operating Models and Data Fabric.
  • Familiarity with Digital Fluency and Emotional Agility.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing a portfolio of large, complex projects within the autonomous mobility space.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel internationally.
  • Track record of successful stakeholder engagement and ability to maintain and grow business relationships.

  • A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary ranging from $125,500 to $230,200 (US geography). Additional ranges apply for specific metro areas.
