Math Gen Ed Teacher - Metairie, LA

Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time General Education Math teaching position is available at a high school in Metairie, LA, for the current school year contract. This role serves high school students and requires delivering effective math instruction aligned with district curriculum standards. The contract runs from as soon as possible through May 22, 2026, with a typical schedule of 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certification in General Education Math (no alternative or temporary certifications accepted)
• Experience teaching high school math courses
• Ability to engage and support diverse learners in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Availability to begin immediately and commit through the contract end date

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver math lessons that meet state and district standards
