Mount Sinai Services at NYC Health+Hospitals/Queens is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join the Queens Cancer Center to lead benign hematology and sickle cell services. The Queens Cancer Center of Excellence is the only established cancer center within the NYC Health+Hospitals System. This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a mission-driven, high-acuity environment within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team.

The qualified candidate will join an experienced and collegial group of medical oncologists/ hematologists, as well as advanced practice providers, nurses, nutritionists and social workers. The hematology service has a robust team including advance practice provider, social worker, community health liaison, and a program manager, which provides comprehensive, integrated care and serves a diverse community of patients.

Faculty hold academic appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, with opportunities for teaching and research.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care in both medical oncology and hematology, including evaluation, treatment planning, and follow-up.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered cancer care.

  • Participate actively in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards and cancer committee activities.

  • Contribute to quality improvement and program development initiatives within the Cancer Center.

  • Engage in teaching residents and medical students through Mount Sinai-affiliated training programs.

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence, professional development, and patient advocacy.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology.

  • Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology.

  • Eligible for or currently holding an active New York State Medical License.

  • Experience in an academic or community-based oncology program preferred.

  • Dedication to serving a diverse patient population with compassion and equity.
