Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based speech-language pathologist is needed to provide maternity leave coverage at an elementary school in Lewisville, TX, near Denton. This contract position involves working in-person with a caseload of approximately 40 students in grades K-5. You will spend two half days each week supporting students across two different schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to early childhood and elementary students (grades K-5) with pediatric speech and language disorders
- Apply best practices in assessment, therapy planning, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote students communication skills
- Maintain accurate documentation and data collection
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in early childhood and elementary school settings
- Familiarity with school-based caseload management and therapy protocols
