Position Summary

The Phlebotomist is responsible for specimen collection and handling while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Specimen Collection: Draw blood using venipuncture or capillary techniques from diverse patient populations.
• Patient Interaction: Explain procedures, answer questions, and ease anxiety to ensure patient comfort.
• Safety & Sanitation: Sterilize equipment and maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment to prevent infection.
• Documentation: Properly identify patients, label samples, and accurately enter data into medical records.
• Sample Management: Prepare and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing, ensuring accuracy in high-volume environments.

Education & Certification Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Must be a certified phlebotomist

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 6:45 AM - 9:45 AM
• Schedule in effect through September 30th
