The ideal candidate should have a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, completion of residency training in a recognized specialty and board certification in the specialty of training.

Additional management degree (MBA, MHA, MMM, MPH) or equivalent experience is also preferred.
