Principal Data Scientist

Overview

Ascentt Systems Inc is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Principal Data Scientist based in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
• Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Design and develop global forecasting models for short- and long-range forecasts to evaluate and validate forecasting models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Intake business requirements and perform data analysis and experiments using machine learning techniques to model the problem and review model performance.
• Create graphs, charts, or other visualizations to convey the results of data analysis using specialized software.
• Deliver oral or written presentations of the results of mathematical modeling and data analysis to management or other end users.
• Design surveys, opinion polls, or other instruments to collect data.
• Collaborate with business and data engineers to deploy and integrate forecasting solutions into production systems.
• Utilize experience in Python, Apache Spark, MongoDB, AWS SageMaker, Redis, SQL and business experience in the supply chain domain.
• Position requires 50% national travel.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Professional Studies-Applied Statistics, Computer Science and Engineering or a related field.
• Two (2) years of related experience.
• Experience in Python, Apache Spark, MongoDB, AWS SageMaker, Redis, SQL and business experience in the supply chain domain.
