PRODUCTION MANAGER

SUMMARY: The Production Manager will lead production unit to ensure safe manufacturing and shipment of products, in full compliance with regulatory and corporate standards and in support of business unit initiatives. This role is crucial in developing and implementing strategies to provide business units with the most competitive unit costs and service profile for the markets served.

DUTIES:

Manages departmental personnel that include setting goals and targets, disciplinary action, training and review of subordinates in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
Remain in compliance with facility policies and procedures regarding environmental, health and safety and governmental laws
Lead, motivate and develop organization in line with company policies
Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance reports
Drive the spirit of continuous improvement to achieve manufacturing standards, using Lean tools, 5 S, Management of Change (MOC)
Train and coach production staff on safe and proper execution of their responsibilities
Responsible for productivity and meeting production schedules. This includes shutdown, repairs and projects.
Manages fixed costs including maintenance and repair, personnel and supplies costs.
Coordinate activities with maintenance to maximize efficiency and minimize cost.
