The Quality Coordinator (QC) under the Chief Quality and Nursing Officer (CQNO) assists is responsible for performing chart reviews for all quality related events, conducted in accordance with guidelines and regulations.

Assist with the development, performance, and surveillance of quality assurance activities.

Presides over audit surveillance, assists with regulatory report and complaints with outcomes documented,

Assist with all regulatory preparedness, day of survey events and compilations of corrective action items, including implementation and follow up.

The QC interfaces with the Risk Management staff, Management, Medical Staff, Medical Records, Employee Health, Infection Control, Nursing, Patient Relations, as well as all clinical and non-clinical departments involved in the health care delivery system.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Masters preferred and Current RN licensure required
  • Five years of recent healthcare experience required, previous regulatory quality management preferred Critical thinking skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, organization abilities and priority management
  • Effective use of power point, excel and other business software
  • Demonstrates public speaking skills and abilities to provide orientation and in -service education
  • Able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure exhibiting effective crisis management skills in accordance with RCH's Code of Conduct Flexible work hours to meet the department's needs
