We are looking for a detail-driven Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring body weld quality and tooling excellence for new model launches. In this role, you'll work hands-on with jigs, tools, parts, and assemblies to guarantee precision and consistency, while also supporting vendor equipment, troubleshooting, and validation activities.

You'll collaborate across engineering, tooling vendors, and manufacturing centers to ensure that all systems meet stringent quality, safety, and performance standards—from installation through SOP (Start of Production). This position offers the chance to take full ownership of quality initiatives, contribute directly to successful launches, and expand your expertise in advanced manufacturing and digital engineering tools.

What You'll Do

  • Verify and confirm body weld jigs, tools, pallets, parts, and assemblies meet quality KPIs and launch targets.
  • Prepare, troubleshoot, and validate new tooling, equipment, and sub-assemblies at multiple vendor sites.
  • Support weld and tooling quality activities at – manufacturing centers during installation and launch phases.
  • Develop and maintain detailed daily plans, task reports, and problem-tracking documentation.
  • Lead and support safety communications, including JSAs, corrective measures, and audits.
  • Coordinate clear and consistent reporting with Project Leaders, BAC, and Seibi Management through daily and weekly updates.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma (or higher college degree).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in Digital Engineering tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Inventor, PolyWorks, AutoCAD.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing quality principles, including interpretation of part, tool, and equipment drawings in both 2D and 3D.
  • Hands-on experience with body quality measurement tools and techniques.
  • Mechanical proficiency with general automotive repair and tool maintenance.

What Sets You Apart

  • Associate's degree (or higher) in a technical field.
  • 3+ years of automotive body quality experience.
  • Experience in mentoring and/or delivering technical training.
  • Advanced skills in dimensional metrology and body weld measurements (CATIA, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Proven ability to gather and analyze quality data from parts, jigs, and CMM equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of robot teaching.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on automotive body dimensional quality experience.
