A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Sandia Park, NM, for the current school year through May 29, 2026. This role focuses on providing essential speech-language services primarily to a caseload of approximately 28 Pre-K students. The position operates on a four-day-per-week schedule, allowing for a balanced workweek while supporting early childhood communication development.
Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in young learners. Collaboration with teachers and parents to support student progress and participation in ongoing professional development are essential aspects of this role. The SLP will tailor interventions to meet individual student needs within a school-based environment.
Qualifications:
- Holding a valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) license is mandatory, as interviews and offers require this credential.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Experience working in school settings, especially with early childhood caseloads, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload and multidisciplinary collaboration.
