Job Title: Estimator

Flooring & Construction Estimator

Job Overview

We are a flooring-focused construction company seeking a Senior Flooring & Construction Estimator with strong, hands-on experience in flooring takeoffs and the ability to handle construction takeoffs when required. This role is intended for an experienced estimator who can work independently, spot scope gaps, and produce accurate, competitive bids with minimal oversight.

You’ll work closely with ownership, project managers, and operations to support profitable, well-scoped projects.

Responsibilities

Lead detailed flooring takeoffs (carpet, LVT, tile,) using MeasureSquare

Perform construction takeoffs as needed (demolition, framing, drywall, minor finishes, etc.)

Review architectural drawings, finish schedules, specifications, and addenda

Develop accurate pricing for materials, labor, and installation methods

Identify scope gaps, exclusions, alternates, and project risks before bid submission

Collaborate with project managers to ensure smooth handoff from estimate to execution

Support cost control and value-engineering efforts

Maintain historical pricing, labor units, and estimating standards

Participate in site visits when required to verify conditions and scope

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in flooring estimating and/or construction estimating

Advanced working knowledge of MeasureSquare (required)

Proven ability to estimate projects independently from plans to final bid

Strong understanding of commercial construction documents

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication skills xhqgsiq and professional judgment

Preferred Qualifications

Commercial flooring experience (multi-family, hospitality, senior living, healthcare, etc.)

Field background in flooring installation or general construction
