Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A 0.9 FTE School Social Worker position is available for a temporary contract assignment in Minneapolis, MN, covering approximately five weeks from early April to early May 2026. This onsite role involves providing essential social work services to students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact their academic performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect social work support to students with various needs
  • Assist students whose challenges interfere with academic success
  • Manage special education due process duties
  • Serve as an administrative designee during IEP team meetings
  • Facilitate meetings, maintain thorough documentation, and complete required paperwork
  • Collaborate effectively with staff, families, and administration to promote student success

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in education or a closely related field
  • Valid School Social Worker license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE)
  • Previous experience working in a school environment is preferred
