Two Severe Needs Paraprofessionals are needed to support students with high-intensity behaviors and diverse needs in K-8 or high school classrooms. These contract roles run from February 23, 2026, to June 12, 2026, following the school calendar, with assignments based in either a high school or elementary school location in the Levittown, PA area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students with severe needs within special education settings
  • Assist classroom teachers by implementing individualized instructional strategies
  • Manage challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
  • Collaborate with educational staff to monitor student progress and adjust approaches
  • Attend mandatory orientation week with extended hours prior to assignment start

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1+ year experience as a paraprofessional in a special education setting working with severe needs students
  • Reside within 35 minutes of the Levittown area to ensure timely attendance
  • Availability to work full-time hours Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM
  • Complete all PA Department of Education required clearances within specified timelines before start date
  • Meet at least one Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification: Two years post-secondary study (48 college credits), or Associate degree or higher, or Credential of Competency or Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate
  • If lacking formal qualifications, willingness to complete the seven-module certification within 60 days of hire

Schedule and Location:

  • High School Location: MondayFriday, 7:30 AM 3:00 PM
  • Elementary Location: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 3:30 PM
  • Orientation week hours: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM (mandatory; every other week)

Assignment Requirements:Candidates must complete a full onboarding process including submission of clearances and supervisor references. Positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis contingent on completed clearances and HR approval. Assignments and locations may be adjusted based on evolving needs.
