Seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-semester contract at a middle school located in Prairieville, LA. This full-time position involves managing a middle school caseload with a self-contained classroom setting. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
• Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning abilities in a self-contained classroom
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to support student success
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with educational regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with middle school students in a self-contained classroom environment
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
