Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This position plays a vital role in the monthly financial close process, including general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting. The Staff Accountant will also manage weekly cash forecasts, support audits, and assist with tax return filings, while developing expertise in our ERP system. This roles reports to the Director of Finance
Key Responsibilities:
Reconcile all cash accounts on a monthly basis
Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations, including prepaids, receivables, fixed assets, liabilities, and accruals
Prepare and post accurate and timely journal entries
Prepare monthly sales tax filings and ensure timely payments
Assist in the preparation of documentation for external audits
Maintain and support accurate financial records and reporting
Manage weekly cash forecasting and distribute to external stakeholders
Develop a thorough understanding of the Island Pacific ERP system
Support ad hoc financial projects and analysis as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (BS required)
3–5 years of professional experience in accounting or a similar role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and lookups)
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate across departments
