Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will bring not only technical expertise but also a high level of creativity, essential for designing and building specialized tooling that supports our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret sketches, blueprints, and specifications to plan operations for the fabrication of tools, fixtures, and assemblies, ensuring safety and maximum efficiency.
- Verify dimensions and quality of finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce tooling components, ensuring all parts conform to specifications.
- Assemble, repair, and modify tooling using both hand and machine tools to maintain reliable production performance.
- Design and construct jigs, templates, and other work aids to improve convenience and accuracy in production.
- Apply creativity and problem-solving skills to design tooling solutions unique to the brake spring manufacturing process.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling problems, implementing effective repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Perform finishing operations such as filing, polishing, and fitting parts to ensure proper assembly and smooth operation.
- Select and work with appropriate metals and materials based on their properties and project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and production staff to address challenges and continuously improve tooling solutions.
- Four-Slide and/or CNC experience is a plus.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
