Job Description:

The Charge Nurse on the J6 Orthopedics unit is responsible for overseeing nursing staff and patient care during the night shift. The unit consists of 32 beds and provides care to patients requiring orthopedic treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the night shift nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and HUCs.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in the orthopedic unit.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort through the use of hospital equipment such as walkers, commodes, and lifts.
• Assist in procedures such as dressing changes, Foley catheter care, and wound vac maintenance.

Requirements:

• Valid NC RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in a hospital setting is preferred
• Orthopedic care experience is considered an asset
