Phlebotomist Technician 2

I am a Phlebotomist Technician 2 for Quest Diagnostic at a PSC in Falmouth. I run the entire lab site by myself, greeting patients, logging their requisition orders into the computer, and drawing their blood or giving them the proper collection kits. I spin all blood that requires it into the centrifuge and separate all specimens required by test requirements. I package all specimens to be picked up by the currier in a timely manner. I also perform all Federal and State UDS’s by testing protocol. I have allot of experience drawing patients from infants to the elderly. I enjoy my profession as its a challenging career that’s always changing and developing new testing for patients to monitor there health and well being. At my site in Falmouth I also trained student’s within the lab, on drawing patients, knowing the order of draw, using the centrifuge, bagging up the biohazard, and learning the computer system during there externship.

I was a traveling Phlebotomist for this company, I went to numerous nursing homes and facilities drawing blood on patients required by the ordering physicians. I brought all samples back to the lab for processing in an orderly manner. I was always very friendly and professional to all my patients and co-workers in all my positions where I’ve worked.

Phlebotomist & Medical Secretary

While I worked as a Phlebotomist I also worked Part-Time as a Medical Secretary for Clab. I filed paper work, answered the phone giving patient test results to Dr. Offices, also logging in requisitions for tests to be performed. As a Phlebotomist at Clab’s PSC I greeted patient’s as they came in, collected all specimens ordered, by drawing their blood or giving them the proper container’s for specimen collection. I also processed all blood samples in the centrifuge and separated samples that required it and packaged up specimens to be picked up by the currier or an outside facility.
